CDB was crowned among Top 10 Best Corporate Citizens in Sri Lanka, for third consecutive year by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2020. For six consecutive years, CDB has garnered several awards from the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, including the Project winner for

GHG Emission analysis in 2016, Best Sustainability Project Award 2017 for Green Ninja CDB Quiz Master 2017 and a Special Award for “Act Early for Autism” project in 2017/18.

Having become the first ISO 14064-1 carbon verified financial institution in South Asia by Sri Lanka Carbon Fund in 2015/16, CDB continue to be a Carbon verified company for the sixth consecutive year in 2020/21 and certified as a Carbon Neutral business entity.

CDB was the winner of Excellence in Automation: Partner-John Keells Information Technology at the UiPath Automation Excellence Awards 2020, in association with The Economic Times.

For two consecutive years, CDB has been ranked among the Top 30 Corporates in Sri Lanka in the Business Today Top 30 in 2019/20 and 2020/21.

CDB won a Silver Award at the Best Advertising and Marketing Website Awards by Bestweb.lk 2020 and a Bronze Award at the same awards in 2019.

CDB won a Bronze Award for the Best Service Brand of the year at the SLIM Brands Excellence Awards 2020. CDB has won Bronze at the same awards in 2014/15.

CDB became a Finalist in Asia’s Best community reporting at Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards 2020. At the same awards, CDB has been recognised as a Top Finalist for Asia’s Best stakeholder reporting, Asia’s Best carbon disclosure, Asia’s Best CSR Communication within Annual Reports and Asia’s Best Workplace Reporting in the years 2016 to 2018.

CDB was ISO/IEC 27001: 2013 certified in 2020/21 for information security in provisioning of IT operations and Data Center Management.

CDB was recognised among Most Admired companies in Sri Lanka Honourably mentioned in 2019/20 by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). CDB was the Runner Up – Finance services and Insurance category at the ACCA Sustainability Reporting Award 2019/20. CDB became the Runner up - Financial Services and

Insurance Sector in 2016/17 and Joint Winners for two consecutive years in 2017/18 and 2018/19 at the same awards.

CDB won Gold in the Non-Bank Financial Services Sector Award at the National Business Excellence Awards in 2019 and 2018 respectively. CDB has been recognised with this award for six consecutive years.

CDB won Silver for Best disclosure on Stakeholder Engagement at CA Awards in 2019/20. CDB have been recognised at this award ceremony for 4 consecutive years.

Honouring excellence in reporting, CDB won the 2018 Best of Category – Best of Sri Lanka Grand Award for the CDB Annual Report 2017/18 at the International ARC Awards. CDB have been recognized at the ARC awards since 2015.

CDB won Gold at the SLITAD Annual People Development Awards 2016/17 and 2015, and Silver in 2014.

CDB was ranked among the 10 best integrated annual reports at the CMA Awards for four consecutive years from 2015 to 2019.

Asserting its presence as a leading disruptor in the financial industry with its pioneering technological innovations, CDB became the 2nd Runner Up at the SLT Zero One Awards 2019/20 and the winner in 2018/19, for the Best Digital Integrated Campaign in the financial industry for its online financial platform CDB iNet. The CDB website also carried the second runner up award for the Best Website or Microsite in the financial industry in 2019/20 and 2018/19.

CDB won the Award for Talent Management and the Best Employer Brand Award at the Best Employer brand awards 2019.

CDB won the Best Presented Annual Report Awards 2017 at the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). CDB became the first runner up and joint second runner up at the same awards in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

CDB won Gold at Vision Awards 2014 at the League of American Communication Professionals (LACP) – USA, and a Platinum award in 2013.

CDB garnered a Merit Award in In-House Application Category Integrated system at the National Best Qualify ICT Awards 2016. CDB was the overall Silver Award winner at the HRM Awards 2014 by the Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP) in conjunction with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

CDB won the Ian Dias Abeysinghe Memorial JASTECA CSR/ Sustainability Special Award in 2017/18 and was awarded as the Winner of the Ten Best CSR/ Sustainability Awards for caring children with special needs in 2019/20.
